I have an opportunity to ship early with a 6 Year Infantry contract. There are no other infantry contracts available except for the 6 year. Should I do it? Will I end up regretting it? I really want to do Infantry. Just want your guy's opinions.

Was not a grunt so can't talk about the MOS specifically. Except, lots of grunts leave with chronic overuse injuries like chronic back, knee, and ankle injuries due to the combat loads they must carry to do their jobs. Even with modern technology, the combat load continues to get heavier instead of lighter.

Generally speaking. Except for pilots, and a handful of special operators, Marines are not allowed to fight today. Instead, they are advisors, trainers, and deliver humanitarian relief supplies to affected areas. This could possibly change next January with a new president. Lots of Marines get out today disappointed and frustrated because they never got to do what they joined to do.
