alternate to ship for bootcamp.

Hello, I am currently a Poole and my ship date is set for August; however, I have been asked to be an alternate on the chance thay another poole cant make it or doesnt pass their IST. My question is, will i be able to keep the MOS i am currently assigned to or will i have to change MOS? because it isnt the same slot for bootcamp?
