An Officer's Path after Commissioning?

Hey all,

I was wondering about the path following commissioning. When you complete TBS with your officer MOS in hand, what is the process thereafter?

How do you know what base you will post to, if there is leave between TBS and arrival to your first duty assignment, etc.?

A few weeks after you get your MOS assignment, you'll get your duty location from your SPC as well. It's really as simple as that. Individual MOS schools are obviously situation-dependent on what happens and where you go. Some people do on the job training at their unit while they wait to class up for MOS training; some people go straight in.
