I have to have the most up to date operating system, software, hardware, etc, to do my job here.

That is why I am thinking of making the move to Apple.

Microsoft$$$$$$$ is killing me.

Soon I'll need my own server lol.

Switched to Apple a few years ago and never looked back! No more windows, disks (my iMac doesn't even have a disk drive), viruses, dropping the computer off at the repair shop where it sits for a week, etc. Expensive in the front end, but you make up for it in repair costs and new updates (not to mention headaches).

"you both have valid points and get no
argument from me - Gentlemen....."

i must have six to ten laptops i've picked up
off the street here in my computer-room
that are "Projects" . They reduce my ability to
spend and kill time on my favorite passtime - beer.
I never would have made an Alcoholic - "I cant stand
getting drunk two days in a row" -- but I could make
a good "drunk" doing broken time" .............................

Soon I'll need my own server lol. Used to have great servers who were called Smedley"s. Never a problem, and were always spot on. Guess they fell by the wayside as did most of the Marine Corps.

I'm on my 3rd mac since 02. I initially had a mac pro with large screen $6,000, then a macbook pro $3,000. For the past 2 years I've been using a mac mini with the hybrid hard drive $800. The mac mini is the fastest mac I've ever used, no problems whatsoever. I also use a $200 HDTV with 2 hdmi inputs, a magic mouse and a wireless keyboard. Total $1,150. I highly recommend this setup. I can also set it up to run windows like I've had in the past, but, why?<script type="text/javascript" src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/ee99c533/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js"></script>
