Good evening Marines. I have still yet to go to MCT or MOS school, I am on boot leave but if I am interested in taking part of Military funerals should I ask my chain of command after I settle into my unit once I get there? Thank you.

There will always be opportunities for funeral details motivator, because a majority of them are rendered by reserve units. You will get ADOS (Active Duty Operational Support) orders for the purpose of the funeral honor. They can have you for as little as a day or up to 30 days. I believe you also need to reside within 50 miles of your unit, but I could be wrong. Also, make sure you look squared away in your Dress Blue Alphas. Volunteering can take you a long way and it's good that you are interested in stuff like that.

Good luck.

Body Bearers is one of the most physically demanding units in the Corps. Huge Marines.
