This Thread is my way of Honoring a Fallen Brother;

Rich Herzog,
King County Deputy Sheriff's Department
Newcastle, Washington

HeadLines:

Police Officer Shooting 'Absolute Carnage'

KING COUNTY - The King County Sheriff's
deputy shot to death after struggling
with a naked man on a busy street was
identified Sunday as Rich Herzog, a
seven-year veteran of the force.

Herzog, 46, and a married father of two
teenage daughters, had worked for the
sheriff's office for seven years, nearly
four with the police department in
Newcastle, a city about 10 miles
southeast of Seattle that contracts with
the King County Sheriff's Office.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"It certainly appears that Deputy Herzog was executed," Sheriff Reichert said.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Witnesses said the officer was trying to subdue the man with pepper
spray. But during the struggle the man managed
to get the deputy's weapon. Witnesses
told KOMO 4 News the man chased the
deputy, shot him once and knocked him
down then fired roughly ten shots at
point blank range.

I put this tribute/memorial here on this Open Squad Bay Forum because I did not want to "Dis-Honor" the Leatherneck Obituaries.

But Deputy Herzog is a Brother none the less. Some might not understand but one's as myself, FlatFoot, Troop901 and other will.

As for me,,,I will attend another funneral of a fallen officer.

God Bless you Rich.
God Bless your Family.
May God give them strength to carry your spirit with them the rest of their lives.
And may God give your beautiful daughters the strength for their journey alone without you.

What else can be said?

Another Brother has died.

Thank you for reading.

Another Brother has fallen. Just like we honor our fallen Marine Brothers, let us honor our fallen Policeman Brother. As Marines we defend our Country, Our Policemen defend our cities. Lest we do not forget them. Our prayers go out for him, his family and friends.
MAY YOU REST IN PEACE!!!!

Thank You JAMarine for reminding us that we all are Brothers.

May God Bless and watch over those wonderful souls
that fight the street war everyday to try and keep us
safe. I think it takes SPECIAL people to be Marines and
I think it takes Special people to be Police Officers. We're
all one in the same....fighting wars to make this world a
better place.

Sorry to hear of this JAMarine. A sad loss. May he rest in peace.
Sorry this had to happen, even worse it happened in my home state. I have been away for many years but still consider it home.
