:marine: First of all, my congrats to the Carolina team and it's fans..they deserve to be going to the Big Dance...they earned the respect of the Pats coaching staff/team...I see a rockem-sockem first half..both teams..HIT...at halftime, Coach Belichick and gang, will make the winning adjustments; whereas, the Carolina team will wilt and breakdown [turnovers up the ying-yang]...resulting in Brady and Vinatari will run the final score to 37-13...it will be a great Super Bowl game!!..again, tip of the cap to Carolina's 1st Super Bowl appearance. Well, I for one, truly believe in the Carolina Panthers taking all the marbles in this one. I said a couple of weeks ago that if they could beat the Rams at home, it didn't matter who they played for the Championship. They were going to the Big Dance. I wasn't wrong then and I don't believe I am wrong now.

Besides that, a team from the AFC can't win if it's not the--
--------PITTSBURGH STEELERS. Ahh yes. I can feel it comin on right now. Those glory years are about to return. Yes siree. The road to the Super Bowl comes through Pittsburgh next year gentlemen.

Actually, I think those lingerie girls are gonna take the title this year.

Any objections?

The other 2 teams?played like high school kids( and I've seen better) so the best of the worst get to play the Brady bunch.
Let the games begin

Its now post game, the Pats won (I was for Panthers), but the real news was Janet Jackson showing half of her bosom during the Halftime Show. Who would have thunk she wanted to join her brother in the "contributing to the deliquency of minors" arena?

How many of you had your young kids (under 16) watching the biggest game of the season? Whats the world coming to?

Luck had nothing to do with it. They both fought to end, the better team just came through in the end.

The Panthers put up a good effort - and I think they will be back to "The Big Show".

Gotta agree with namgrunt on the half time show - should have put Aerosmith there - proves things just get better with age.

That was the weirdest game ever, by that I mean, why decline a penalty in the red zone...late in the game.
The Patroits went on to score.
I told my wife, that a big mistake, make them gain another 5 yards.
I thought it was intential grounding by the quarterback, which would have meant a loss of down.
Making fourth down and the Patroits would have gone for a field goal.
But all this is from hindsight.
Praying for "Lovie" to create a miracle on the lake front in Chicago, IL...DABEARS in the playoffs and than the Super Bowl, but most likely it will be the crap bowl for my beloved BEARS...
2005 will be twenty years since DABEAR beat the Patroits in the Super Bowl in New Orleans.
Walter Payton was a running back that many should copy.
Ran hills in summer till he loss his lunch.
During the season, he gave more than he took...

OK, so the Patriots won, One thing for sure the Panthers showed up to play, seems as if the coaches got a little drunk in their play calling, go for 2 not once but two times. the old saying, wait until next year, Cowboys and Dolphins. Ooooorah, crap, there I go, I meant Semper Fi.
