OK, People this Link is for Leatherneck Magazine and they will place a want ad for you asking for your Platoon book or Photos and they will do it for free at least they did it for me at the time I asked them for help. Once you have received your Book or Photo you'll need to write them and inform them so they can remove your listing. Please be courteous to them and it will go a long way for you.

Dear B.P.,
I see you have a copy of my Platoon Book. (Line 44 - Platoon 342 May 26, 1976 to August 9, 1976). I've been tracking this down for years! What do I have to do to get my Platoon book? I was in boot camp in 1976 (I was 17 yrs old). I'm now pushing 58. It'd be nice to re-live (sort of) my youth.
Hope to hear from you soon,

Andre' Hernandez

Wild Bill doesn't come around much, but hopefully he will see your post.

In the meantime, you might want to go to go to yellowfootprintsdotcom to continue your search.

Unfortunately, I no longer have my book. A so-called Marine got them by false pretenses. SAID he was going to help me and then after a month he quit and stop emailing me and not answering phone calls...
