I'm curious what a typical Soviet style RPG-7 costs. Compared to the cost of a Black Hawk, I'm sure it's next to nothing. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

NBC ran a story last night related to new Army helo training. They report that the Army is now training helo pilots to shoot while on the move. Our Marine Aviators have always done that!

Also, now all Army personal are going through more infantry and weapons training, not just thier line soliders. If you don't already know, every Marine is a trained and highly motivated rifleman. From the most junior private to the Commandant of the Marine Corps.

Thanks for the reply! I know a bit about the Corps from my uncle, who served in the late 60's and early 70's. I was in the USAF myself (hope you won't hold it against me :) ) and knew a few Marines when I was at the DLI. I shot a grand total of 80 round during my entire elistment in the USAF!

I'm mainly curious about the cost of a typical RPG, like is it $100, 1000, etc. A local (Jacksonville, FL) Army Warrant Officer was killed in a helicopter crash a few days ago: Local Man Killed in Iraqi Helicopter Crash (http://www.firstcoastnews.com/news/news-article.aspx?storyid=13273) .

My concern is that there are probably thousands of RPG type weapons in Iraq, and more pouring in all the time, meaning they'll continue to be a threat for years. All it takes is a few hundred terrorists, as I'm sure people on this forum are already painfully aware.....
