Are Marine Reservists Being Drawn Down???

MARINE RESERVISTS: I am starting to see a lot of Marine reservists in my field 02XX forced into the IRR, even Marines that are still on obligor status. Units are being dissolved, billets are being dissolved, and it appears that they have no regard for whether or not the Marines still want to serve. Luckily, I'm still on an IMA contract right now, but in the next couple of months I am going to have a decision to make if they try to force me into the IRR (MOS lat move, Navy, Navy officer, AF, etc.).


Is anybody else seeing or experiencing this?


I have no intention of dropping to the IRR, so any feedback or tips on how to navigate this potential green weenie are appreciated.

No actually, Marine Reserves are actually getting bigger. I'd imagine the Marines you are seeing forced in to the IRR are NCO's and SNCO's at units that are over their T/O # and don't have billets open for them..??...
