Any one out there that was in -C- Co. , D.U.K.W. Plt. --First Marine Brigade--1955--1957--Kaneohe Bay---We were originally attached to " Amtracks" but were moved to a Service Bat. for some unknown reason. I still have the "Year type Book" that we bought at that time. This book has a picture of each Marine in the Brigade. . Major Webb was our Company Commander. a great guy and better leader. S/Sgt. Sissions was Plt. Sgt., WW-2 guy. Tech Sgt. Leber was DUKW Plt. leader and Maint. Crew chief. ., Great Marine. The names are coming back to me as I ramble on. Bob Crutchfield, a native american, ( of course we called him Chief) . was from Eureka ,Cal. I obtained a temp. I.D. card for him so we could buy our beers on Hotel Street in downtown Honolulu. He was only 19 (Cpl) and I, the old guy (Sgt) was 21. Enough for now , Larry Austin.
