Good morning gentlemen! I'm a new Marine, on boot leave right now actualy haha. We'll I honestly could not find a place to put this in the forums and this looks like the best place to put it. My MOS is 1316, I was wondering if a Marine with this MOS could tell me what it's like on a day to day basis. Is there anything I will be doing besides welding? I read some stuff on this MOS but there isn't really anything that goes to in depth with it. Do metal workers deploy at all?

I would love to hear anything you have experienced in this MOS. Thank you for your input.

I can't really answer in detail as to what you'll do on a day to day basis. Only thing I can say is this, there was a 1316/metal worker on the small FOB I lived on during deployment. All he did for 5 days straight for 8 hours a day was fix blown up mine rollers(6th day was on guard/post, 7th day off).
