Not only does our SECDEF support cuts in troop strength, pay and benefits, and increases in healthcare costs - our Joint Chief of Staff General Dempsey (believe he is an Army general) had this to say about the troops he is supposed to support and lead:

"Troops will complain about compensation and benefit cuts in the Defense Department budget proposal, but they will accept them".

How about going to bat for the troops and advocate for them. Yes they will complain and rightfully so. Nobody is getting rich in the military and any benefits the troops get are earned. A general is not going to feel any difference in his pay and probably never shops at the PX or commissary but a junior enlisted with a young family and living on foodstamps will feel every dollar. The attitude of some of the leadership in our military within this administration just ****es me off!

that is what obama and the commies he has put in place in the Military, want,, they want people not to join and that will, they think, set the stage for there ideals, but little do they realize that the power of the true patriot will be there in force to give them a bloody nose and worse..

Maybe they should remember this
The Bonus Army was the popular name of an assemblage of some 43,000 marchers—17,000 World War I (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_I) veterans, their families, and affiliated groups—who gathered in Washington, D.C., in the spring and summer of 1932 to demand cash-payment redemption of their service certificates. Its organizers called it the Bonus Expeditionary Force to echo the name of World War I's American Expeditionary Force (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Expeditionary_Force), while the media called it the Bonus March. It was led by Walter W. Waters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_W._Waters), a former Army sergeant.
Many of the war veterans had been out of work since the beginning of the Great Depression (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Depression). TheWorld War Adjusted Compensation Act (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_Adjusted_Compensation_Act) of 1924 had awarded them bonuses in the form of certificates they could not redeem until 1945. Each service certificate, issued to a qualified veteran soldier, bore a face value equal to the soldier's promised payment plus compound interest (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compound_interest). The principal demand of the Bonus Army was the immediate cash payment of their certificates.
Retired Marine Corps (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Marine_Corps) Major General Smedley Butler (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smedley_Butler), one of the most popular military figures of the time, visited their camp to back the effort and encourage them.[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonus_Army#cite_note-1) On July 28, U.S. Attorney GeneralWilliam D. Mitchell (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_D._Mitchell) ordered the veterans removed from all government property. Washington police met with resistance, shots were fired and two veterans were wounded and later died. Veterans were also shot dead at other locations during the demonstration. President Herbert Hoover (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbert_Hoover) then ordered the army to clear the veterans' campsite. Army Chief of Staff General Douglas MacArthur (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_MacArthur)commanded the infantry and cavalry supported by six tanks. The Bonus Army marchers with their wives and children were driven out, and their shelters and belongings burned.

As I posted in another thread. "This country has been on a downhill slide for the past 13 years and is about to slide off the face of the earth."

The downward spiral began midway through Bush's second term, and Obama has his boot on the accelerator.

Wow. What a way to thank all our folks that have been in and out of Iraq and Trashcanistan for all these years.

I just got back myself from Trashcanistan - I guess the taxpayers will take it up the arse to employ us all as contractors (as I've been doing for nearly the last ten years). Pay for it up front - you have a rapid response, capable and qualified to get the job done. Pay us contractors later - you pay out the nose. Exceptionally stupid IMO.

so true, and like you said with Obama, now everyone knows why he has spent so much time purging the Military of true Patriots
