I am searching on behalf of my mother-in-law Marie who befriended Les Groshong when he was on R&R in New Zealand during WWII. She was 16, and he had his 21st birthday with her family. Both Les and Marie led separate lives after the war, but made contact again when they were both in their 80s and single after the deaths of their partners. They were able to rekindle a great relationship and visited each other in Oregon and NZ several times. They still have a very close relationship, but by phone these days.
Marie wants to send Les some information to remind him of his past. We have access to the interview with him on "Tarawaontheweb" but nothing else. If you can help me to help an old lady to help an old and respected Marine, I would be grateful.
