My grandson will be going to 29 Palms for comm. school 2800. He is a florida boy loves the water, camping so what are some of the things on and around base? He 19 yrs old and we are all certified divers. He has been diving since he was 12. I am was station at New River & LeJeune so I dont know mush about the Calf. area.

Rocky looking something more up to date. Most of them are from 2008, 2009, & 2010.

He's going to be in training, so he may have to put his hobbies on hold until he reaches his first permanent duty station.
Yeah alot of training at Comm school.
My 3rd Barracks on base was in front of their chow hall.
There is NO water except the pool, Unless they change it.
Its all sand there with trees. Want to scuba dive, get Camp Pendelton or Okinawa.
