I really wish I had the chance to enjoy Okinawa as a civilian. All the civilian employees I came into contact with where so happy to be out there that they did not want to leave.. EVER!
(Well, I left the Island in December 2010, I'm sure not much has changed since..)

Thanks all, my application was forwarded to the hiring manager which is always a good sign. Truth is these jobs usually go to a well connected officer retiring from active duty.
