I signed up to ask a question. Since there is no way to go directly to a person who could help, this forum seems a good place to start. I started at the chat room and was directed here. Is there a point of contact for information regarding personnel who worked at 1st ANGLICO at Chu Lai, S. Vietnam, 1966? I maintain a web site at http://www.catkillers.org/ (http://www.catkillers.org/) and we had outstanding Marine aerial observers in our back seat. I am looking for one in particular for a story about one of our pilots killed while flying in 1966. Any help appreciated.

The incident in which a marine observer's army pilot was killed occurred on 23 September 1966. The aircraft was flown by our pilot stationed at Quang Ngai, 1st Platoon, 220th Aviation Company "Catkillers." He was killed, and the observer was talked down to landing safely by another of our pilots. I am trying to identify that fortunate observer. Additional Marine history is located on our web site.
