View Full Version : Need a job
I am on my second week of lay-off, not sure if or when being called back. Was trying to buy a house but that's out for awhile. I am a trailer mechanic in the Kansas City Missouri area. I worked on trailers for 10 yrs went to Iraq (again) and worked on trailers for UPS for 5, now laid-off. Any help or advice is much appreciated. Madden
the last two places i heard to check into for working
was
#1 North Dakota
#2 Texas
Research it though,,, Nothing much worse than going
out of town for work, being broke when you get there
and nobody looking for help...

Going back a few years---
Took a part time gig with a private Investigator.
He wanted police or military backround.
Gig was primarily surveillance
Pay ? 8 an hour ! No benefits
Then he went in to protection (same pay)
No longer worth the risks

Sorry to hear that brother . Been unemployed for 2 years now was a LPN but I cant do the work anymore because of my arthritis. To me veterans preferance doesnt work.I tried it doesnt work, dont even bother putting it on your application. I am going on 50, hard as hell . Most of my arthritis and body pain is from the persian gUlf war but it is imaginary and dioesnt exist so the VA SAYS. So I just say f-it.
Wish you gold luck my brother

Ever thought of becoming a firefighter or a paramedic? We always need more. My department is hiring, and so are several others in the area... but it would mean relocating to Phoenix. Don't know if that's an option for you or not. Good luck my Brother.
