Anybody here serve with Wesley Fox?MOH Vietnam. I'd like to hear your experiance. I was a lance Corporal in his STA platoon 1982-83 when he was a Lt Col Bat CC. He led a march up to the top of Mt Fuji Japan in 83. he was about 53 at the time and a good many Infantry Marines didn't make it to the top. Only sorry I never got a photo with him. Great man, great leader.

He was my XO when I was on embassy duty in Belgum and met him again at Quantico. Excellent officer.
I served with then 1st Lt. Wesley Fox in Viet Nam. I remember him to be one tough sob, but a Marine who commanded the respect of all of us, he LED by example, he was the type of leader who always was the first one up the hill, followed by his fellow Marine grunts!

Yes , I have great memories of Colonel Fox taking the entire Batalion out for a 12 mile force march slogging through the sand. I didn't realize it at the time what great shape he was in for a man over 50.
