Hey Marines, Right now I have 12 college credits, and I know going through boot camp gives me some more credits. Will I be eligible for a promotion to PFC when I graduate boot camp or do I need 15 credits prior to leaving for boot camp?

You need them prior to shipping off for boot. the college credits you receive from boot camp, SOI, MOS school, etc.. don't count towards promotion. Those will count once and if you get out and go to college.

If you needed 12-15 to join they won't count at all. You need about 27-30 if you're a GED waiver, if you just need the 15 for PFC and you were a highschool grad then get them before you ship. You won't rate PFC until time in grade or meritorious.
