Marines, I am posting something from a Marine site on FB here to see if anyone can help:
Hi guys got a small problem.
Thought maybe someone could help me with..
I myself am a 32 year Marine Veteran (active 1980-1986).
Shortly after I got out a friend gave me me a Zippo lighter, a USMC lighter from Viet Nam she had found.
On one side is our beloved Eagle,Globe and Anchor and the initials AHR on the flip cap.
On the other side is VIET NAM(on the flip cap) and 2nd Div. 5th Bat. F Co. 66-67.
I would like to see if I could find out who owned it before me.I have tried several sites to see if anyone could help but to date no one has replied.
Any help would be appreciated. I've carried it all these years and it works great and the only thing I've done is replace the cap pin,(Zippo said they'd sent me a new one but wouldn't send me back this one)
