Ain't gonna say who its harder on, you or the kid.

but gonna tell you, he'll have plenty to tell you about it,
First chance he gets...

Some kids (Young Adults- for the Politicaly Correct ),
remember that week VIVIDLY the rest of their life.

You'll live.

Good luck to the kid.
let us know when he earns the TITLE

Dadamark your son is in the hands of individuals who have no equal in transfoming kids into men. There is no doubt that your son will be challenged like no other time in his life over the next 12 weeks. Worrying about him is quite natural and you have the luxury of time to do so. Your son does not have time to worry he only has time to focus on becoming a Marine. When my son was in boot(MCRD SD) we followed along with his schedule and took it one day at a time. Here is a link to the Parris Island matrix. http://www.kevinwebb22.com/marine-corps-boot-camp/marine-corps-boot-camp-schedule We focused on what he was doing that particular day and before we knew it we were watching him graduate. I wish you and your son the best and try not to worry so much.

Cheers,

pete

The training matrix has helped my daughter and me considerably.

Son is beginning Phase I / week 1 today... Daughter is marking the days off the calender. January will be here soon.

My son just graduated from PI Sept 7th, 2012. What helped me get through boot camp was joining Marine Family Network. You can talk with other parents going through the same thing from your son's platoon. The website has so much information, everthing from graduation to boot camp injuries. The most helpful thing is you will not feel alone and will go through this rollercoaster with others who feel exactly the same way you do. Good luck to you and your son.
