Any possible wavers, etc?

I did some googling and it seems if you have a organ transplant you cannot, but i couldnt find out anything specific about missing organs

When I enlisted the 1st they asked me was whether I had both lungs.

When I enlisted in the Corps, I heard the Army recruiter across the hall tell his buddy.....there's another one with no brains.

Back in 1967 there was a DI (my senior DI) SSGT Showalter (sp) who later picked up WO. He had only 1 lung. When the PRT changed to the PFT, he was one of the first if not the first on PI to run 100 miles, then 200, and then 300. I don't know where he ended up, but he could out run just about anybody around with only 1 lung. Many people with disabilities have challenged and won the right to serve. While we may not normally think of having just 1 lung as a handicap, just think what that means in combat.

I agree, humping those mountains was tuff with 2 lungs.

HEY! You shouldn't have been listening in when the Doc was talking about my physical!!!!
