As the title says. I have been googling all over but can't seem to find the answer to this question. I received my degree before enlisting. What effect would that have, if any, on my composite score for promotion? Would it be the same as doing 7 MCIs or is it in its own category? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I may be wrong, but I don't believe it does anything if it was before you where a Marine. Your comp score is based on what you have done in your present grade, so if you went and got a few more credits as a lance, then it would count. Keep in mind, you must have leading Marines done to pick up, so you might as well do some mcis

Having a degree does not give you any points toward your composite score. I assume you got contract PFC based on having your degree/college credits when you went into boot camp?...if not you could still turn in transcripts from your school for education points but like Spears said you would still have to do your necessary MCI's.
