Just found the site - absolutely outstanding! Maybe a few of you have some info I've been hunting, literally, for years. I am trying to get a copy of my father's platoon grad book from 1954. When I got mine back in the dark ages ('81) he lamented that in '54 when he graduated Parris Island he passed on the opportunity to buy the platoon grad book (the coupla bucks it cost seemed like way too much to a Kentucky farm boy). He has regretted not getting it ever since.
Does anyone know of a clearinghouse, web site, locator service or what have you that might get me closer. I've found a number of 1954 platoon books on Abebooks and on Ebay, but not the right one yet. He's creeping up on 70, and I know that a copy of his platoon grad book, no matter how battered, would be worth more than its weight in gold to him.
Thanks for any info, and Semper Fi!
