Pete Weber competed against some of the top amateur golfers in the world while representing the United States Marine Corps.
That has only prepared the 23-year-old for the highly competitive events around Dubuque County this summer.
Weber, a 1997 Western Dubuque High School graduate, carded a two-day total of 2-under-par 136 to win The Julien tournament at Bunker Hill Golf Course. His 72 on Sunday gave him just enough cushion to hold off runner-up Phil Meyer.
