Hello.

First I will state my facts.

-Was Medically retired (currently on TDIU) on 03/1/2011 after 6 years of service.
-I am rated 80% VA, (currently recieving 100%IU)
-I was rated 50% DOD as a result of my PEB upon separation

I have a few questions.

First, is the H.R 303 Bill still active? Or has it passed?
What is CDRP?

I am wondering about recieving DOD retirement pay at the same time as VA Disability. I went on mypay the other day, (even though I am currently not getting pay by the DOD because I have a VA waiver). It says "CRSC Statement" under my "Retirement Pay" tab however when i click on it, there is nothing there. It just says to call the CRSC phone number. So since it says "CRSC" on my 'MyPay menue" does that mean I have already applied for it and I qualify? If I do, I have not been getting paid anything. I have read about a "phase in period", does that apply to my situation? I was on military.com and as I stand right now, I do NOT qualify for CRSC due to the fact that I do not have 20 years of service in. But then it says underneath that, in 2008 congress expanded eligibility to any Chapter 61 retirees, and those that are on TDRL, so I now qualify.

Sorry for the long post but hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks guys.

Call your local Disabled American Veterans Service Officer. There is one in most of the VA facilities. Just google DAV for your hometown.

The DAV Service Officers are great guys, and the service is always free with a smile.

They helped me get my VA benefits.

Most current status on HR 303:

Latest Major Action: 2/25/2011: Referred to House subcommittee. Status: Referred to the Subcommittee on Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs.

Sorry, can't assist with the other question. That one is a serious 'gray area' at the moment for everyone.
