The Governor of Florida passed a law that outlaws and sets punishment for any
municipality that passes any local gun law that is more restrictive
then State laws. Some cities (Miami mainly ) Had many laws restricting
carrying of firearms in parks or goverment owned buildings. There was
also a law that ALL weapons could be taken away if ANY state of
emergency were declared. All those commie anti-gun laws will be null
and void as of oct.17th.

Way to go Scott!

Damn good law!

Same here Ken, especially up here in Washington Parish.

We've always been able to carry concealed in our vehicles, it's considered an extension of our homes. Some employers banned guns in cars on their property. Not long ago Bobby Jendal signed into law allowing us to have weapons in our cars in employers parking lot. We are a VERY pro gun state.

My daughter moved to New Orleans to go to collage and works part time. Last week someone tried to get into her car at a red light. Said he looked like a crackhead. She ran the light and got away. For now I gave her my .25 Beretta. I need to get her a concealed carry permit. She can put a full clip of 9mm center mass at 30 feet, drop a deer at 200 yards with a .243, she's "one shot, one kill". I started her with a BB gun at 6, then a .410 at 8 and a .22 piston at 10. She can out shoot, hunt, fish, canoe and camp any man. The one that gets her better have his chit together. No problem telling she was raised by a Marine. I'm very proud of her.

I taught her to shoot but she’s a natural.

Sparkie Nev. does not support Utah Concealed Carry law. In Utah anybody that is legal to buy a gun can conceal there guns in there car. No special papers needed.

Only a lawless liberal would be averse to such a law.

Hiding them anywhere on my property is not the problem. Trying to get that crowd in Raleigh to pass legislation like FL and LA is not gonna happen.

If it's time to hide them, it's time to use them.

Ya know edm14, its like Abe lincoln said, if the things in your perspective state are doing on a regular basis upset and annoy you to no end, then next time it time to vote "vote with your feet!" that'll show em, just look at the mass exodous from these northern states who's senators and congressmen that think the only way to stem the tide of failing budgets is to continuously over tax those who either choose to stay or have no way out of the state so thery're literally forced to pay the exsorbatant taxes of places like NY, NC, Virginia, DC Mass, etc., etc. its always the same with these or that mind set, they got he power and they are the ones who could care less about the condition of the stat itself.just ask chucky shumer, or anyone of the other plethora of let wing liberal senators or congesmen from these great states of men of honor and moral uprightness and charector...

I have a handgun hid in every room, a S&W .357 by my bed loaded with Talons, a Remington 870 that a FBI agent gave daddy, it has an extended mag loaded with 00 3 inch magnums, it's in my bedroom corner. All except the ones in my bedroom are hidden for easy access, don't want someone breaking in and using your own weapon on you.

I'm thinking about getting this S&W CS9 Chiefs Special for my daughter.

Or maybe this Beretta Cougar 8040F, as I like the safety features on a Beretta. I qualified with our Sheriffs Office with a 92 that I bought the day before and still shot a 118 out of 120. The 92 is one of my all time favorites, that and my stainless bull barrel Ruger Mark II .22

When my dad was around 70, he had returned home from going to the store and when going round the back of the house, he realized someone had broken into the house through the back window. When he entered the back door he yelled "I've got a gun and I'll use it" .... and the thieves (3 young guys) with our goods in hand, seeing my gun toting dad coming up on them, dropped everything and ran out the front door. My dad says he let them run out because he knew they weren't going to mess with him.

I'd hate to think what 3 young guys might have done to a 70 year old minus a gun.

My dad and my husband taught both my boys to shoot at a young age. When I was growing up we were all "well protected" ... except maybe for the gun powder in the basement I was sure going to blow us all up someday. :D Today my home is "well protected."

When my son was on leave last month, we went on a mother/son outing to buy a new rifle. :)

Why did you include VA with the likes of NY and MA? We don't have high taxes (have a budget surplus ) and we have awesome gun laws (or lack thereof). VA passed a law similar to this FL one at least five years ago.

I firmly believe the Fed Gov should put an ammendment to the constitution stateing that no state can pass any state law restricting any law abiding citizen of the U.S. from being able to carry concealed or otherwise any firearm.

I carry the Taurus 145 in .45 cal, 10+1, stainless. Real sweet, accurate, loads of firepower and easy to carry concealed. A while back one of my bud's asked "what are you afraid of" that I had to carry a .45. I said "Nothing." Just saying.

The good thing about our Florida CCL is that I can carry in just about every state except for NJ on up through most of New England and Cali. Of course the normal question is why would I want to go to those liberal states anyway.

I love Florida. The first thing when I moved back here from Hawaii was setup an NFA trust and get some toys.

Tarus makes some good weapons. I have a lot experience with them.
Daddy bought my little single barrel .410 when I was 8. I lost it when his house burnt down a few years back. My son still has his. I got my daughter a Savage over and under when she was a kid. Most of those you see is a rifle on top and shotgun on bottom. Her's is both .410. That's it in the photo of her.
