If you are in an area that got hit with big time winds this past summer
In my AO the date was May 2011 when we got 60 mph winds

These were considered excessive and damaging.

Your insurance company may have Federal funds available for assistance
Therefore your insurance dosent pay and your rates don't go up.

Bottom line-check with your insurance company -you may need roof work
Or other repairs

In North Carolina, our rates were abritrarily increased by approximately $1K a year for wind damage (hurricanes), which mostly occurs to homes right along the coast. It would seem more prudent to increase insurance for homeowners who choose to live along the coast.
