In replying to your kind words to me...
I've hit the mile-stone where I'm now able to receive my Social Security.
I'm now able to look back on my life and what I accomplished or fail to accomplish.
Wealth and money, I failed in making as much as others.
But is that the real worth of a man?
Speaking uni-sex here.
Friends, I have a great deal.
I'm humbled thaat they consider me their friend.
Here is where a man wealth really resides.
As a 17 1/2 year old, I took an oath to serve this Nation in one of the greatest unit that Nation has.
The United States Marine Corps!!!
It enhanced the core values that my grandparents, parents, and family had given me.
Maria da Marcial Gonzalez told me at a young age;
"If your invited to eat at a person table, it your duty to repay that person for their kindess toward you!"
Change person to Nation and you get the meaning of what she was telling me.
Staring with my uncles to my son, we have answered the call from this Nation.
I then became a father, next was becoming a grandfather of three.
So looking back it's being a great life.
I try to live by this words;
"Today is the best day of your life."
Not yesterday or tomorrow.
Live for today...

Tks LL, I enjoy reading your "give and take" on this site. I'm enjoying life as usual, still able to walk 18 holes of golf and carry my own bag. Can't say I could still go thru boot camp but I still workout 3 days a week so that people won't be able to figure out why I died when I was in such good shape. Tks again.:banana:

Didn't mean to steal ur birthday greeting but then how many USMC Ricardos are there that have birthdays around Aug. 25th. Hope you had a good one, I sure did.:)
