I had a rough life living from home to home. I found out how
the marines can change my life and I did some studying about
the culture and I'll honestly give up everything I have to be part
of it. 6 years ago I broke my elbow badly and got pins in them. I
got the pins removed and got physical therapy and got majority
of use of it and I got full motion of it on my own. My recruiter
told me he's gonna have to get a waiver and I did some
research that less then half get approved. Should I be worried?

1: NO double posting. Other posts have been removed.
2: Familiarize yourself with our rules on this site.
3: 'Marines/Marine' is captialized. Always.
4: Correct, less than half get approved. Probably less than that now that the Corps is downsizing.
5: All you can do is, quite frankly, WAIT. Have you been to see the MEPS doctor yet?
6: "Majority of use" does NOT sound waiverable to me. Recruit Training and the Marine Corps as a whole is extremely physically demanding. "Majority" isn't going to 'cut it' quite frankly, since the Corps demands 110 percent of ALL of you, all the time.

We do not advocate lying to MEPS or recruiters here on Leatherneck. Tell the truth and accept the consequences (if any). Lie and also accept the consequences if caught - which are always worse than telling the truth.
