HAVE to jion reserve

I talked to my recruiter and i WANTED active duty 0311 but he told me that there full for active duty, but he said i can do reserves. My question was now that the Marine Corps is down sizing how hard would it be to switch over to active 0311 after I enlist in reserves? How long do i have to be in reserves to be able to put in a request to switch?

You don't "have to join the reserves" if you don't want to. If active duty is what you want, then stick to your guns and wait for an active duty slot to open up.
