I was at a civilwar reenactment this weekend in Lincoln R.I and this Marine Corps Sgt civil war uniform was in the collection of a private collecter. What makes this so special is that there were less than 3000 Marines during the civilwar. This uniform was awsome to see in person !!!! I hope you enjoy seeing it as much as i did. Anyone else with an interest in the history of the civil war post what ever interesting pictures or facts you have. I would like to hear / see them.

I'm not seeing a uniform or a link. Is it just my browser or something?

Right click the image and choose "save image as". Remember where you saved it to. Then upload it to a image hosting site, like Photobucket. Then copy/past the image code to here.
This is an example of the image code on Photobucket. I've added spaces to the [IMG] so it would show up.

Remove the spaces and you get:

I'm considering starting a thread for tips on computers, internet security, ect., ect.

HaHa that would be a good one to put up Jack. The one I have is too small to enlarge very much. The Mexicans hated and feared him. I read somewhere where Saddam studied him and VC tactics in case we attacked him. He supposedly instructed his troops to melt away and carry on using guerrilla tactics.

You can right click and choose "save image as" to save this one.
I'll see what I can come up with.
Semper Fi brother.

Geronimo
Apache Indian chief, Mighty Warrior; became a war-chief when sixteen years old, and for almost fifty years led a band of Indian raiders; was a constant terror to the settlers in the Southwest, where he perpetrated many frightful attacks. He was captured near Prescott, Ariz., in 1886, by Generals Miles and Lawton, after a continued chase of four years, at the expense of hundreds of lives. He was first imprisoned at Mount Vernon, Ala., but later at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

This picture of the famed Apache was made in March, 1905. At this time, Geronimo reported that he was seventy six years old. This would indicate that he was born in about 1829. The portrait was made at Carlisle, Pennsylvania, the day before President Roosevelt's Inauguration. Geronimo being one of the famed Indian Warriors who took part in the inauguration. He appreciated the honor of being one of those chosen for this important occasion.
