100% Rating

Good afternoon Marines.

I am currently rated at 80% disability but am recieving Individual Unemployability. I am 50% PTSD, 40% TBI, 30% Migraines, and 20% Heat flash burns.

I am wanting to file for an increase in ratings to try to get 100% P&T. Will the fact that I am already recieving 100% IU due to me being un able to work, make it easier to get schedular 100%?

You don't have to scheduale.
If you are receiving payment at the 100% level you will automaticaly receive a C&P review every 2 years for your PTSD until you receive P&T status. Once you become P&T you will never have one again.

By permanent and total you mean schedular 100% correct? So my 80% will be moved up to 100%.

If you have an IU reting, check the rating decision. Was Chapter 35 awarded also (dependents educational benefits), if so, YOU ARE P&T.... leave your claim alone.....do not file for anything new, unless it is something that is claerly service connected, and is something that could likely result in your death.... over the last two or three years, VA has been seeking excuses to review and if possible, revolk IU...if you do not reopen your cleim, they will likely not review it or even open your file.

You just recently got your rating.
You are being paid at the 100% level because of IU.
Leave it alone and let it run it's course.

Received notification within the month of a 100% evaluation, AFTER the VA had me TOTALLY checked again and this was from the original of 10% in 1952, so as related above, they (VA) will certainly go through your file AGAIN, looking for any changes, for updates or downgrades
