This rapper decided it was a great idea to say "F*** the FBI and all the Army troops" and then goes into in his lyrics about how in association "fighting for what b**** be your own man". How this has not main the mainstream media and this guy hasn't got destroyed is beyond me. I really do love the idiots who claim to be musical artists and do not understand that people "the military" is here to protect his write to publish is crap.

You're wearing that uniform so that rappers like him and all the other musical "artists" can write and "sing" whatever garbage they want to. You don't have to listen to it or like it but you do have to protect his rights an an American. That's why this is America and not Libya, Syria, or some muslim country (yet). We had the same type deal during the Vietnam war with all the protest songs; many veterans and military people did not like it but it's called..."freedom of speech"...and it's one of the foundations of this nation. Deal with it and get over it like the rest of us did because that trash is not going away just because you want it to.

True; He can sing whatever he wants, my objective is to ensure that it is out there because these kinds of things tend not to encourage record sales, and hopefully the media picks this up and other people can utilize there first amendment rights as I have to display a directed opinion towards his ignorant deviance. In Syria and Iran he would just of been killed, that's the difference, here in capitalism land we just go after money and prestige.

Well let me utilize my first amendment right to use. I think he's a stupid, coward punk.

There are knobs on our radios and TV's labeled "volume" and "channel". If you watch or listen to that trash it's because you want to. Simple.

Yeah, he's an idiot, not original, his rhymes suck, and the audio quality of the song is horrible. It is good that the various media outlets have not picked up on this cause that would just give him undue spotlight and cause more people to listen to his garbage either out of interest in it or simple curiosity.

He's a douche

you do know that by posting his youtube video that you are in fact most likely paying soulja boy ad revenues as in many cases the more views they get or if you click an ad on his youtube page, soulja boy will get a commission from that.

"freedom of speech"...and it's one of the foundations of this nation. Deal with it and get over it like the rest of us did because that trash is not going away just because you want it to.

Those are the facts.
As mentioned, we have volume knobs, tuning knobs and the choice to just not patronize these so called 'artists' in any fashion.
Of course, I agree with Mongoose and haebyungdae too.:)

In all my subjectivity rap is not music to my ears by any stretch and I can't stand listening to any of it for several reasons.
Holy sh!t...he calls himself 'soulja boy'.
I'm glad I'm not living forever.

No...I did not watch the video.

Feliz Viernes amigos.....carry on....

The Army Responds! I don't usually listen to rap, but this is awesome.

"You gonna bring your boys, I'm gonna bring my men."

Reservist is correct, therefore, I've deleted the link. No sense helping out a scumball.

It is, of course, his RIGHT to be a seditious asshat, just as it is MY right to call him a worthless piece of crap that the country would be better off putting to work on a road project picking up trash or some such.

Typical, but not exactly surprising.

And no doubt he voted for bumster LOL

Soulja Boy Is Sorry For Telling The Troops To Eff Off

http://www.dlisted.com/files/souljaboyissorry.jpg

The grade school gutter gremlin is at it again. Fresh off of his jet plane publicity stunt (http://www.dlisted.com/2011/07/31/update-soulja-boy-did-not-buy-30-million-jet), Soulja Boy is once again getting his name on Twitter feeds by telling the army troops to "**** off" in his new song called "Let's Be Real." The entire poignant lyric that will soon be featured in a book of beloved American poetry along with works from Maya Angelou and E.E. Cummings goes like this:

"**** the FBI and the army troops. Fighting for what? Be your own man.
I'll be flying through the clouds with green like I'm Peter Pan."
You can burn two of your five senses by watching the video for this piece of **** mess here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGUGiK_DAEY&feature=player_embedded), but you'd be better off watching the grainy video of you dancing to "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tzSjtuMGOQ) in your parent's garage so I'd go with that instead.

But anyway, after several members of the military and veterans dissed this generation's MC Hammer for dissing them for fighting for his right to diss them, he made his publicist/cousin take a break from their full-time job as a check cashing clerk to write this apology statement to Global Grind (http://globalgrind.com/entertainment/soulja-boy-apology-us-army-tmz-military-photos) for him. You know this didn't from the same brain that shat out Kiss Me Thru the Phone (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiss_Me_Thru_the_Phone).

"As an artist, I let my words get the best of me. Sometimes there are things that we feel, things that we want to express, and when we put them on paper and speak them out loud, they can come out wrong," he wrote in a statement. "When I expressed my frustration with the US Army, not only did my words come out wrong, I was wrong to even speak them. So, I write this to give my sincerest apology to all members of the United States military services, as well as their families that were offended by my most recent lyrics.
As a young man who grew up in the post-9/11 era, I have watched our country fight two wars that seem like they are never going to end. I have seen thousands and thousands of our brave men and women get killed in battle and often times, I think for what? A lot of people in this country are struggling to make ends meet and I think a lot about what if we had never gone to war. Where would our economy be? Our schools, our after-school and work programs, our streets? I mean, damn, 48 people got shot in New York City just this past weekend ... in 3 days ... I'm not saying that it is just because of a bad economy, but at a certain point we have to take care of our own people.
In no way would I ever want to offend those who are protecting our freedoms ... a lot of homeboys who I grew up with, a lot of people who come from the neighborhoods we live in ... In no way do I want to hurt any of our honorable soldiers who put their lives at risk, regardless of how they feel about the two wars we fight in. I am just frustrated that we haven't been able to bring you all home quick enough and my frustration got the best of me. I am deeply sorry.
~Soulja Boy
