Hello all,

I'm looking for a testimonial from anyone who has been through the process of applying for PLC through the Reserves. What is the process like, how long does it take, what kind of standards should you expect to be in if you want to be accepted, etc. I'd like to hear from anyone who has either actually been through it, or knows someone personally who can speak intelligently on the process.

I know what all of our pamphlets say, but I'd like to get the boots-on-ground view of it from someone whos been there.

In 1970, still in inactive reserves I applied for and was accepted into the Marine Corps flight training program. At that time it didn't seem long. When I reported for my flight physical all I had in hand was a telephone call from a Marine recruiter. As I recall at that time a lot of flyers were getting out of the Corps and it was not as strict as it is now getting into the PLC.
