I'm looking for anyone that was in LeJeune in '85 that remembers the following. There was a dual retirement ceremony for the XO of 2nd MarDiv as well as a MGySgt. What makes this odd was both were Korean War vets. They both went to boot camp togather. I do recall that one had a waiver to stay indue to injuries in Vietnam. know thee was a meda tent there but can't seem to find anything about it in tv,papers,etc. I've got agood memory of tis since w were "invited" todrill for it since the MGySgt was our CO's DI at Quantico.....Sure as hell can't recall our CO's name either. Any help with a big THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! Ths might be of help. The CO of 2nd MarDiv either just before was killed in a car wreck with-in 30 days after his retirement.
