Marine Recon Life?

I would love to enlist in the Marine Corps with a UZ Recon Contract. I plan on training really hard over the next 2 years for that (I can already get a near perfect PFT). But I do have some questions though.

What is life like after you earn the title of Recon Marine? What is life like while stationed and deployed?

Also, would being a Recon Marine help me progress in my Marine Corps career? Would it help me get promoted, help increase my chances of being accepted into Scout Sniper School, and/or help me get into MARSOC training?
