Admin pay question [Archive] - Marine Corps

If I check back in to active duty on August 8th... will I get paid on the 15th or not until September 1st?

Honestly, I'd figure on 1 September just to be safe. And god help you if they mess up your TIG/TIS etc. Cause then it'll be a freakin nightmare. Be prepared to live for at least 30 days on NO pay.

Hopefully I'm wrong but that was my experience and it wasn't pleasant.

I talked to an admin friend.... she said I can request advanced pay.... and thank god for Navy Marine Corps Relief Society

I'm an active duty Disburser in Okinawa, Sgt. The chances are that Admin would mess something up somewhere, for example they just lost my travel claim and other items, so now i'm left fixing it myself.
However, when you are paid it will be from the day you joined (8th). if you are joined on the 8th it is doubtful that your information will be in the system in time for payday. wherever you go, i would suggest talking to the Disbo office before going to the IPAC and having to play the waiting game while admin plays the middle man.
