I have had the UH contract in the system for about a month now, but we OFFICIALLY signed the papers today. I'm guaranteed 03XX, and I'm hoping for 0311. Talk about getting MOTO right before PT lol.

Its been all good news for me today too. Already had the UH contract but today It went into the system that I am contracted E-2 and I got my ship date changed to this monday! Hell ya!!!

Lucky f***er lol. I'm going in E-1 but I'm going to try and make company honor man to get out E-3... My best friend is almost an E-3 as an 0311... I gotta catch up lol

You wont make e-3 out of boot unless you ship with e-2 in your contract, the guys that make e-3 are company honor grads who had e-2 contacts

Well my recruiter said it's possible to do... so I'm gonna shoot for it. If i get it, great, if not, then eh, I'll be a Marine which is the whole point in the first place

dutch is right. You had my plan. However the pussies in my area wont sign so i have no referrals therefor im still goin in as e-1 =[. But getting PFC in boot still looks good on your cutting scores. My one buddy got demoted and promoted in boot camp. it was lols

haha im trying to get E-3 too from boot. Told my SSgt this, he laughed for 1 minute straight.

isn't everyone's goal to get E-3 out of boot? I'm not seeing the downside to more bills in my pocket

For me the bills is the motivation... My best friend is a PFC, he will be a LnCpl in a few months so I need to catch up. There's no way in hell he's gonna be telling me what to do lol I could never take him seriously.
Told my family 20100424 that I wanted to enlist into the United States Marine Corps. Finally enlisted 20110614. I wasn't 18 until February, 2011 but my family asked for me to wait until I graduated. I agreed to wait and enlisted the Monday after my graduation. It feels good to finally be on the path to earning the title. Only took 461 days.

And for that matter, most company honor grads still don't even pick up E-3 either way.

Trust me i know how you feel with having to wait over a year to DEP. I was an applicant for 14 months before I DEP'd, I couldn't get in because of my GED so I had to go to college.
