View Full Version : Backwards question but... What happens right before you leave for boot camp?

I know you go to MEPS the day you leave for boot camp, but I was told my ship date is July 18th(Monday) but a lot of my friends are leaving and they are going up to MEPS on a Sunday. Just wondering what is going to happen to us before we leave for boot camp, I am shipping from Texas by the way. MEPS is a couple hours from my RSS but only 30 mins from my home.

Just go to MEPS and report in. They will take good care of you from there.
They will put you in a hotel overnight cause usually the hotel is closer to MEPs then your home. They just need to make sure your not going to be late..

I talked with my girlfriend, we went for a drive to town and back early.
I had to leave early the next morning.
