So you want to be a guitar playing grunt in Afghanistan? I don't know if you will "retrieve" any special treatment as a grunt, but you may have to "retrieve" that guitar out of you butt if you don't concentrate on being a rifleman....first, last and foremost.
By the way, the word should have been "receive".

As an Arabic-speaker, you wouldn't have much use in a country that speaks primarily Pashto and Dari. I know he doesn't say it in this thread, but in the guitar thread, he says he wants to go to Afghanistan.
However, to answer the original question, if you speak Arabic and you take the exam, you do get paid extra for your Arabic skills. The question then becomes, what do you mean by fluent? Can you speak Arabic? If so, is it Fus'ha or which Amiyya?
