<!-- Video goes here -->Officials with Camp Lejeune (http://www.lejeune.usmc.mil/) say the base remains under Force Protection Condition Bravo.
“This is a command given to all military installations from U.S. Northern Command,” Nat Fahy, public affairs chief for Marine Corps Installations East, said Sunday night.
All Department of Defense (http://www.defense.gov/) facilities, including MCAS New River are under Force Protection Condition Bravo as of Sunday afternoon. There is no information on when the threat will cease, Fahy said.
An official with U.S. Northern Command said the threat affects all DoD (http://www.defense.gov/) facilities world wide.
“It has been some time since we’ve been at Force Protection Condition Bravo,” said Fahy.
Under normal circumstances, the base is under Condition Alpha. The highest threat is Condition Delta, “so we’re at an elevated risk,” Fahy said.
Morning commuters should expect delays at gate entrances, heightened security aboard DoD installations and should be prepared to show identification.
