Weird... Award

This is weird...

I officially retired on 31 Jan 2003.

Yesterday, I received a letter containing a Good Conduct Medal - 7th Award for the dates of 15 March 2000 - 16 March 2003.

How can I rate an award for a date after my retirement?

Much more puzzling is that it came from the Commanding Officer of Combat Service Support Group - 14. I have never been with CSSG-14... ???

I guess I could/should get it ammended to my DD-214.

Actually, I think it has something to do with the date of new award begins. I am not sure. Let me know what you find out.
