Toops at Bethesda Medical Center!
Hi everyone, this is Nikki!!! I'm so sorry that I never get to send out too many emails anymore, but that doesn't mean that I've stopped doing what I do best! Just so you know what keeps me so busy, besides all of the events that I attend and all of the things I try to do for our Veterans, our POW/MIA's and our troops, I'm on the high honor roll, a Varsity Cheerleader, a member of the Bio Club, Chemistry Club, Spanish Club, Key Club, Drama Club, the Future Business Leader's of America and in the Spring I play Softball!!! I think that is just about enough!! LOL
I've got something that is really, really important and I hoping that you will help me with this cause I'm sure it will mean so much. I will be in Washington D.C. for Veterans Day this year, even though I didn't think we would make it (my mom lost her job over all of this...really long story!) and some really great people that I know did everything that they could to make sure that I would get to Washington D.C.
On Veterans Day, I will be able to visit our injured troops that have come back from Iraq and are in Bethesda Medical Center. I'm hoping all of you will help!! If I've been told right, they are all Marines and I would like to take as many cards, letters or whatever you would like to send with me to pass out to everyone that I meet at the hospital!! I really want them to know that we care about them, that we support them and that we are PROUD of them!! If you wouldn't mind, I would like to ask that you send me something to take with me to the hospital!! This is a real honor for me and I know that it will mean so much for our troops!! If you can, please email me and I will send you the address. I really hope that you will send something, I know that it will mean so much to our troops!!
I've also got my own Yahoo group now too and it's not a message board, but more like an "email update" board so that I can send out updates about my site, or events that I will be attending or things like that!! Please, please, please sign up for it because my address book is HUGE and it's a mess too, so the Yahoo group will be way easier and I can finally keep everyone updated!!!!
