PR contract for 0451 MOS?

I have read somethings online that indicate that there is an enlistment option to get 0451 guaranteed. From what i understand the option is PR. Now this information is counter to what I have been told about enlisting in the corps. I was told you can get a field guaranteed but not a specific MOS with the exceptions being musicians cooks and Recon(what a random assortment of MOS by the way).

I was curious if any of you could shed some light on this.

0451 is also an exception, because it is a volunteers only MOS.

That makes good sense. Jump status is voluntary. Thank you. I will check with my local recruiter and see what the status is with that.
It is to bad that these facts are not more available. In some cases it seems like recruiters don't even know about them until the recruit brings it to their attention.
