They say every Marine is a rifleman, and the branch is based on Infantry. So if my MOS wasn't 03XX would I still have an opportunity to go into combat?

Moving this to 'Ask a Marine'....
All Marines are 'basically trained riflemen'..meaning that they ALL go through Infantry school prior to MOS school. However, if you are 'Bulk Fuel' for example, your chances of 'combat' are likely very low.
Combat Engineers...you go out and find mines. That's what you do these days. One of them will likely be by to give some information on that but that's boiling it down.
