so im in the DEP since october 14th. and my parents are trying to get me out of the DEP by taking away their consent is that possible? they are also trying to tell me to switch in the Army (Fat Chance) how long will this process take? if it happens

I'm sure it is possible and if this does happen as soon as you turn 18 you can re-dep and do what you want.

Did they already sign the consent form or whatever its called? Seems strange that after they signed they would be able to do anything about. I really don't have a clue though, just doesn't seem right to me.

What is the reason they want to rescind?
What has changed on the home front since signing?
Were they coerced into signing or did they do it willingly?

It's possible if they raise a HUMONGOUS stink about it. Not likely to happen though.
Two questions:
1. Why do they want you out of the USMC DEP
2. If you haven't told your recruiter yet, what are you waiting for? He/she can likely clear up any misunderstandings or concerns that your parents have.
