Do CL, combat vehicle repair, options travel with the assigned vehicles, or do they remain on the base.

Not normally unless you are a driver also. They train drivers enough in repairs and vehicle maintenance. They don't need an extra body along just for the purpose of repairs in case something happens to a vehicle. If your repair strictly, you'd be on base because you would be doing repairs requiring a bay or larger equipment. If you wanna get outside the wire though you might be called out to get a vehicle, or fix it, if someone outside already can't fix it or make it back to base.
