I really don't understand what the question is but here is my attempt to answer what I think your asking...

Officers, while looked at negatively sometimes by the enlisted side, hold vital roles and billets in the Corps. A lot of the lines have been blurred more recently as far as the educational differences between officers and enlisted but they still have their rank for a reason, especially in the Corps. A few of us Marines had a big discussion about why officers are officers and the whole reason behind them having to have college degrees. Historically, all the way back to the revolution, officers were always educated and part of the higher society/higher social status, white collar families. Enlisted men were always uneducated blue collars. Like I said before although those differences have gone away (to a certain extent) there still needs to be that separation whether anyone likes it or not.
